Collin is 1/2!

Since there is no 30th of February, I took Collin's 6 month pictures today.  As you can see, his newest skill is sitting up (and wearing a mohawk!). He is also now putting himself to sleep at naptime, my favorite milestone next to the smile!  He still has no interest in rolling from back to front which keeps him contained, for now.  We're planning to start solids after his 6m check-up and shots.  He is a happy baby and was a great traveller for his first plane ride to Phoenix and for the 400 mile car ride from Phoenix to Southern California!

A Disney Story

We're still in Arizona and I plan to share tons of pictures of our Disney adventures when we get home, but I wanted to share one of my favorite stories. As some of you know, Will is not a fan of costumed characters. He is actually very afraid of them. In the picture below this is about as close as he would get to Mickey Mouse. Collin was happy to hold his hand and grab his nose but Will hid behind my leg.

Later that day we went to the Jedi Training Academy show. Unfortunately, Will was not picked to participate but had a front row seat and caught all the action. As part of the show Darth Maul is wandering around looking for recruits for the Dark Side. Several times he was inches from Will, staring us down with some scary colored contacts. Will didn't flinch. I thought it was a little strange that he was afraid of Mickey Mouse but not Darth Maul. We were talking about it later and he explained that he is only afraid of "Fat Head" characters. I had to laugh considering this was coming from a child who had a C/T scan done on his "fat head!"
